Three Budget Spring Break Family Vacations
Depending upon your family, spring break can stir up a variety of images, from hitting the slopes to screaming on a roller coaster to splashing in water. Here are three budget ideas for planning your upcoming spring break family vacation.

Mountain Getaway
Outdoor lovers will enjoy the scenic Wasatch Mountains views in Salt Lake City, Utah. The good news is that you don’t need to spend a lot of cash to enjoy a week in the mountains. Salt Lake City has easy access to the seven world-class ski resorts which are all within a 30 to 45 minute drive from the Salt Lake Valley. Skiers can then purchase a Ski Salt Lake Super Pass which provides a nice savings to four of Salt Lake’s world-class resorts. Even better, the Ski Salt Lake Super Pass includes round trip travel on Utah Transit Authority, TRAX light rail and buses services to and from Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude.
Amusement Parks
Let’s face it, a trip to Orlando to experience Disney’s Enchanted Kingdom can be an expensive way to spend spring break. Instead of spending several days at the pricey parks, go for one day and experience the city’s other budget-friendly attractions. If there are a number of highlights you would like to experience, check out GoCard. Have you heard of these? They are great. Families can purchase a GoCard (adult and child options) and use it at various attractions around the city and for discounts on food and merchandise. Some attractions include Kennedy Space Center, Gatorland, Daytona 500 Experience, Ripleys Believe It or Not!, Jungle Island, Boggy Creek Airboats and many other fun locations.

Water Fun
You can’t get any more inexpensive than a day at the beach, but sometimes the water is a little too cold this time of year for ocean splashing. Instead, have fun on a budget spring break family vacation at an indoor water park – they are found all across the country. Some of the parks are full-service resorts (watch out – make sure the park sells day passes), but staying off site, such as at Homewood Suites, can save a handful of cash better used for souvenirs and ice cream. And the family will still enjoy getting wet and wild!
