The busiest travel season in New York is right around the corner, and Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade is the event of events to kick it all off. Now in its 86th year, the massive parade sponsored by the equally massive department store chain is a required event for any visiting reveler (like seeing the Statue of Liberty or traversing Central Park). It’s a celebration that draws hundreds of thousands of people, all gathered to watch the grandiose, ornate floats, the perfectly coordinated marching bands and the opulence that comes along with one of the biggest parades in the world.
